Why intuition matters!

The other day I had to book flights to Rennes, in France. You would think from London it would be an easy thing to do. I went over to British Airways and they didn’t fly to Rennes or have any alliance with an airline that did.

My initial searches netted totally dissatisfactory options.

I couldn’t believe from London to Rennes by public transport would take the same time as driving, or even longer.

How could this be?

It didn’t feel right. I wasn’t looking in the right place and even trusted Google wasn’t offering me the choice I was looking for.

I stopped and asked my intuition and decided to add the word direct in and then voila, as if by magic, there were the direct flights from UK to Rennes at a fraction of the cost and time. Okay they were not from my nearest airport but from an airport that is probably just as easy for me to get to.

This may appear as a learn to use Google properly article but it isn’t as this is about where you look and where you focus.

Got me thinking why is it that heart centered entrepreneurs fear doing things differently? Afraid of looking different to the crowd they are in and doing things differently generally.

Why is there such stubbornness to do it the same as if it has to be proven to work, is it a fear of failure? Is it a need to control and be right?

You are not going to get different results doing the same thing.

How long do you try and do the same thing again and again looking for new results?

When the outcome is the same as previous you try again, yet how often do you do something differently to get different results?

My intuition was beating hard saying this isn’t right and I asked immediately where I would find what I had decided I wanted and then I had success!

Isn’t it time you fell out of the heart centered and conscious entrepreneur trap of fearing change? Isn’t it time you stopped beating the same drum out of tune?

Isn’t it time you asked your intuition (and not your emotions which give you the highs and the lows and the indecision)?

When you ask your intuition you get clear and simple responses. Not essays and answers full of ifs and buts!

Isn’t it time you stopped accepting that success is hard and you have to look for it on top of the highest mountain which is the most difficult to climb?

Isn’t it time you paused and asked your intuition for the most easy and direct route, the one that is effortless and most fun?

Try it this week and if you find your intuition is indecisive and confusing as well as filling you with doubt, it isn’t intuition.

If you find you have to ask others what they think even when your intuition has spoken, it isn’t intuition that you have heard but some emotional reaction instead.

If when you follow your intuition you hit walls or struggle and strife and you feel hurt and confused then it wasn’t intuition that you have been following.

If you are getting the same ‘meh’ results in life and business and are doing the same thing and feeling bored and wondering when this phase will pass and you will really get to do what you love, then isn’t it time you started to follow your intuition and do things differently?

2014 is the year to do it differently as otherwise you are holding yourself in the old ways and the old paradigm and however much you wax lyrical about the New Era and things needing to change you are not a contributor.

Ambition will never change a thing but intuition will!

If you are looking for something different, why not drop me a line and let’s see what we can create together as I have a small intuitive business coaching practice and I work with the most powerful of women who are making a change to their own lives and contributing to changing the paradigm and building a New Era because of who they are and how they grow, through love not pain.

Intuition matters, it is more than a label it is a way of life!

  1. This is a great article, Sarupa. And I think it’s exactly what I needed to be reading today! I like how you distinguish between intuition and emotions. Emotions can definitely overtake us sometimes and getting down to what “feels right” and what we know to be true from deep within — i.e., our intuition — is what we should really be listening to instead. Using our intuition in all facets of our lives is so important, but sometimes it’s easy to forget to do that. So, I love how you say it’s a lifestyle. Today I’m going to set an intention to listen to my intuition. Thanks for the article!

    1. Hi Karen, – thanks for stopping by and starting a conversation – and yes feeling AKA emotions are not so celever if we try and use them as a beacon…they change SO FAST for a start…and let me know how your intention goes 🙂

  2. Hi Sarupa — I couldn’t agree with you more. Intuition is always right and I like to think when we use it correctly, we notice more synchronicities.
