Business Tip #1

There is an African proverb which says β€˜if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far go together’. I think this is also true in business, if you want to make a quick buck, you will step on a few heads, if you want to have a long and successful business work as a team.Β Becky Walsh www.beckywalsh.com

Business Tip #2

You are the permission you’ve been waiting for. No one is going to come and tap you on the shoulder and tell you it’s time to go full out. Offer your products and services to the world in the biggest, most authentic way possible now. Don’t wait for someone else to give you permission or choose you. They’re not coming. You are the one you’you’ve been waiting for.Β Kate Northrup www.katenorthrup.com

Business Tip #3

What does success mean to you? Not to your parents, or your teachers, or your peers or your boss – but to YOU? Think ahead to the end of your life – looking back, how will you feel about the time you spent on this Earth? What will make you proud? Money? Materialism? Or something different – making a contribution? Leaving the world a better place? Prioritising happiness and a sense of purpose? Only when your business life reflects your inner life will you find true success. Roz SavageΒ www.rozsavage.com

Business Tip #4

Get out there!

It’s all about marketing, marketing, marketing! As an ex marketing manager, I know this more than anyone. You need a marketing plan. Each week you need to schedule in one day where your sole focus is to get out there and market your product or service. Many business owners are very reactive when it comes to marketing, only advertising when their customers dry up. This invariably creates the feast or famine effect, which is not good for business. Create a simple marketing and activity plan at the beginning of the year and implement it. This will ensure you have a steady and lucrative business.Β Louise Presley Turner www.thegameoflife.co.uk

Business Tip #5

Mobile-Friendly Marketing.
As a former web designer/developer, I make it my business to maintain a successful and sales-friendly website. The biggest trend for 2014 will be mobile-friendly design for online marketing (website, sales pages, newsletter, etc.) According to Adobe’s latest State of Mobile Benchmark report; iPads are dominating the mobile-browsing community worldwide, while smartphones account for more than 90% of Asian (and secondary markets like the UK, Germany and France). Bottom line: Mobile-devices will continue to drive web traffic and sales. If you’re not designing for mobile, your business is going to get left behind.Β Randi Pierce www.randipierce.com

Business Tip #6

To tap into the true power of networking you must forget yourself and put other people first. To start with, stop pitching and instead listen to the needs of the other person. …When you REALLY listen and are genuinely interested in them, you will be surprised about how fast people will trust you and want to know what YOU do and how you can help them. Without building trust first nobody wants to hear your pitch. Svietlana Lavrentidi www.meetup.com/EntrepreneurialWomensNetwork/

Business Tip #7

You may have heard the famous Dalai Lama quote; β€œThe world will be saved by the Western Woman.” If you’re a woman, then this really is your time. The universe is aligned to support you in following any calling, mission or passion you feel strongly about. So get out there in good faith and do that thing which is uniquely yours. It’s why you were put here, right now at this remarkable time in history. Claudia SpahrΒ www.claudiaspahr.com

Business Tip #8

Do what you love. Do what fits with your values. It is impossible, long term, to force yourself to do anything which doesn’t meet those criteria. Be as truthful and real as you dare, people will love the authentic you and love your passion and choose to work with you. Put your heart and soul into your business and your clients. You will never regret that and abundance will be yours in return. Judith Morgan www.JudithMorgan.com

Business Tip #9

My clients tell me they want to ‘be a speaker’; this area brings up β€˜stuff’ for some. If you’re truly passionate about speaking, start by working on removing any blocks, obvious but often neglected. Get your bio ready to send out and find an event or a somebody to help you!Β Jenny KovacsΒ www.gift-wish.co.uk

Business Tip #10

Being honest about your brand online will help you connect better!Β One of the things that I notice all the time are brands that get their online brand message wrong. They don’t sound as themselves – too formal, too corporate when they have a young and happy brand. And then it can be the other way around – too informal when their audience are expecting them to have a more professional image. Be honest about who you are online and offline and your customers will connect better with you. Sofie SandellΒ www.sofiesandell.com

Business Tip #11

Value your brilliant Thing.

When you’re doing what you’re brilliant at and not just what you’re good at I call this doing your ‘Thing’ but I’d wager right now you probably do your Thing without attaching any or much value to it. When you step back and realise your ‘way’ and your ‘common sense’ and your ‘take on it’ is very different and very valuable that you can allow your business to stand out in a way that’s easy. There is no competition when you do your Thing as it’s by definition yours, and no-one else does it the way you do. Create a mini monopoly by being a brilliant. Lucy Whittington www.beingabusinesscelebrity.com/

Business Tip #12

My top tip is to follow your dreams and really get in touch with what you really want, what your purpose is and what you are born to do.Β  Relax deeply and visualise yourself in a room with smiling people who greet you like a successful much loved celebrity or ambassador, you shake hands with someone who seems magnificent and they hand you a rolled piece of parchment tied with a red ribbon, you feel very proud as you open it, ask your subconscious mind, whats written there in that beautiful script – is it a contract for work ? A publishing deal ? A certificate of achievement ? Reflect on what it represent for your future in business….then put some actions in place to ensure it comes to fruition! Janey Lee Grace www.janeyleegrace.com

Business Tip #13

Instead of seeing the sales process as a β€œnecessary evil” that has to happen before the real work can begin, start to see it as the first stage of the service you offer.Β  Listen to your client, clearly communicate the value you can give them, and encourage them to make the decision that is in their highest good.Β  When you do this your client will have a healing and nurturing experience – and you will enjoy having sales conversations that feel authentic and comfortable. Catherine Watkin www.sellingfromtheheart.com

Business Tip #14

In a world of uncertainty and intense competitiveness resilience – the ability to push through life’s inevitable challenges, see the opportunities and thrive as a result of the experience – has never been more important. Each of us is born with some resilience, but too few harness the power. Become aware of the key resilience traits, develop them as you would build a muscle, and you’ll discover the key to mastering your own life experience.Β Marquita HeraldΒ www.inspiredgiftgiving.com

Business Tip #15

Always remember your Vision. In Business if the Vision is not big enough to get you through the challenging times – nothing ever will. Not will power, supportive words or pushing through …. It just won’t work. You have to remember why you are doing what you are doing. A Vision that scares you and always makes you feel like you have a permanent wedgie …. That’s a Vision worth doing – then you will change the World. Luanne Simmons Β www.goddessonpurpose.com

Business Tip #16

Once you start welcoming the energetic world of intention and consciousness in your business, you will have to acknowledge that what you ‘project’ upon your business, money and clients, even your self will manifest itself. Change your projections of judgement or experiencing lack to one of honouring, loving, welcoming and appreciating your company, your clients, your money, bank account, products and not to forget your SELF…do this all the time and you must experience shifts in your business life. Angelique Tsang www.angeliquetsang.com

Business Tip #17

Run Smarter Facebook Ads! Facebook ads offer a lot of great perks – smart targeting, relatively cheap clicks, conversion tracking, and great click-thru rate. But you have to make sure you are setting your ads up correctly so you don’t waste money! Make sure you first set up your campaign to do some split testing to see what performs better, but then also make sure you are making the most of the targeting options. Use keywords and create your own custom audiences to get the best deals on Facebook ads. Andrea Vahl www.andreavahl.com/facebook-advertising/how-to-effectively-use-custom-audiences-in-facebook-ads.php

Business Tip #18

When it’s done right there is NOTHING more powerful than video to attract the people, opportunities and experiences you want in your life. Nothing else creates so much trust and builds such deep relationships online… and the best thing is, it’s FREE! Michelle Holmes Michelle Holmes www.michelle-holmes.com

Business Tip #19

Your Mind is Just like Google! Many fail to realise that they have all of the answers already they have not taken the time to find them. What comes out is what you put in. Think of your mind like Google, if you search pain then that is what you will get. Focus; tune your mind to what you want and not what you don’t. Every time you think, think of what google would come up with if you searched that word, if it is not what you would like, search a new word! Clare Turner Marshall www.clareturnermarshall.com

Business Tip #20

The future of the next generation of entrepreneurial women lies with every single one of us. Leaving this world in a more loving, harmonious and joyful place starts with YOU! Consider who you are being, make it your responsibility to light the way. How far will you go? Who you are being as you create a limitless life opens up possibilities and opportunities that the next generation may never even have considered. Allison Marlowe www.globalwinningwomen.com

Business Tip #21

Build the business that you want … not that you think you should have. Being a business owner is an amazing lifestyle choice – but only if you are building the right business for you. Your business should fill you with joy, enable you to serve the community that you want and create a life that suits you. If it is not doing that… If it is feeling like it is a struggle and you are pushing a heavy rock up a steep hill then revisit what you are doing and change it. Create the business that you were born to run. Julie Hall Β www.womenunlimitedworldwide.com

Business Tip #22

Public speaking is a great tool growing your business as you are speeding up the exposure of your message. Here is what I found you should know if you feel a little nervous: you are giving VALUE NOW, even though you will continue to improve your abilities FOREVER. Avoid protective words like β€˜maybe’ or β€˜possibly’. Quit people pleasing, choose your side, say exactly what you mean and your target market with gravitate towards. Jordis Annik Rau www.ponyexpressclub.com

Business Tip #23

Have a Power Hour! A Power Hour is a pocket of time where you work on your business, not just in it! I recommend your Power Hour consists of making those all important follow up calls. Β Who have you met recently at a networking event? Have you spoken to them since?Β  Follow up and stand out from the crowd. OR Write a newsletter to your list.Β  Write a blog and share it. In one hour.Β  You can do it.Β  Enjoy a Power Hour a day and see your business grow.Β  Let’s go! Jo James www.amberlife.com

Business Tip #24

My biggest business tip is to never be afraid to let go of the past, even if was wonderful, to fully step into the future.Β  It’s easy to get hung up on the idea that you’re “just-a” consultant, mum, HR pro, admin or second fiddle.Β  You are so much more than a job title and business success will only come when you step forward with confidence, competence and creativity and stop hiding behind your former title. Alli Polin www.breaktheframe.com

Business Tip #25

Be who you are. Boldly. Without apology. Authentically. You. Ultimately, being in business for yourself is about creating lifestyle freedom, right? Well, if you want to TRULY be free, you have to build your business based on the authentic you… not the persona you think people want to see. Kendra E Thornbury www.kendrathornbury.com

Business Tip #26

Business and financial success is not just about what money comes in, but also about what money goes out.Β  Having two separate expense accountsβ€”one for business and one for personalβ€”makes all the difference.Β  People don’t think this step is a big deal, but believe me; the clarity you get from separation is huge.Β  The reason is that separation stops expense β€œseepage” that organically happens when everything is lumped together. Mindy Crary www.creativemoney.biz

Business Tip #27

Make 2014 a year to remember by getting off your butt and doing something. Pick a goal and TAKE ACTION! We don’t get paid for the ideas inside our heads. You don’t have to know HOW you’re going to get there, you just have to get clear on what you want and why. Then GO! Action makes the magic happen, or actually the momentum. Take the first step, now another one, repeat. Get the plane off the ground and course correct as you go. A true entrepreneur is a doer and not just a dreamer. Melissa Stewart www.sheownsit.com/

Business Tip #28

Trust More! I’ve found that in business you need to have a hell of a lot of trust… because everything is so uncertain.Β When you come up with new ideas, you need to have more trust that it will work out, even though there’s so much uncertainty.Β When you trust more, you resist less. Carrie Green www.femaleentrepreneurassociation.com/

Business Tip #29

Learn to sell in a way that fills you with love and passion to serve your clients. That way you will only ever love the process and your business will soar. Spend time very week truly connecting with the deeper message of what you are offering and the value that it brings to your clients…so that when you sell you know your value and you are able to charge your worth. Carly Hope www.carlyhope.com

Business Tip #30

Don’t be a digital sharecropper – build your own home base before you jump into social media marketing. When you build a presence on someone else’s platform, they’re the boss. They can eject you at any point, for any reason. If you don’t build a home base then your fans will be lost. Remember Bebo in 2006? If you’d built your audience there then you’d have nothing right now. Think of the future, your business’s future and market with a strategy not a tactic. Β Sarah ArrowΒ www.sarkemedia.com

Business Tip #31

Have a very defined message and you’ll be able to express yourself confidently.Β  Pay attention to what’s calling you and be confident in following your intuition in business.Β  It’s what sets you apart as a leader! Lyndsey WhitesideΒ www.inspiredpr.com

Business Tip #32

2014 is the year that digital marketing begins to be held to the same standards as traditional marketing. It’s no longer enough just to have an online presence because the novelty has worn off. This year businesses will be challenged to bring refinement, polish and a focus on deliverable key business metrics that improve the bottom line beyond simply “building fans” or “gaining reach on twitter”. This year is about giving customers the amazing customer experience while meeting real business objectives.Β Kimberly Brink – CastleberryΒ www.just-ask-kim.com/about/
